The location is a convenient 1 km from the airport, which simplifies travel for anyone eager to delve into a unique dining experience. Upon arrival, I was captivated by the restaurant's ambiance. The elegantly set tables against the backdrop of lush gardens created an inviting atmosphere. The meal was an exploration of Sri Lankan flavors; each dish elegantly presented and brimming with fresh ingredients. My experience, however, was marred by simple oversights. While the food did impress, I found the attention to detail lacking in terms of bed linens and room comfort, which could be addressed to elevate the experience. The extra amenities were not available, and the noise from nearby road traffic impeded my relaxation. For food enthusiasts seeking a blend of culinary excellence and cultural immersion, the Gables is worth considering-but perhaps with an eye to the overall stay quality. This experience reaffirmed my love for Sri Lankan hospitality's flavors, aligning beautifully with my passion for tea culture.
